A lil about
me...
The brilliance of the design world is that it is infinitely modifiable. If that’s the case, why not capitalize it to bring people engagement and connection in places where it normally wouldn’t exist?
Well, exactly.
I graduated with my Associate’s degree in Fine Arts with a graphic design concentration at my local community college, Waubonsee Community College. Upon graduation, I moved to Michigan’s upper peninsula to pursue a Bachelor’s degree of the same concentration at Northern Michigan University.
Post-graduation, I worked with the District 10 Lions Club of the Upper Penisula of Michigan. This volunteer organization was developing specialized programs, including Childhood Cancer and Defense Against Diabetes. They needed help marketing these critical programs to those in need through social media and the web. The result was a spike in awareness. This meant families of children with cancer found opportunities for care or assistance they didn't know existed, or pre-diabetic individuals received support and information on diabetes prevention.
In 2021, I found my role at 6Connex, an event technology company. Through this role, I refined how I could apply my design skills to varying marketing objectives. I led projects on website redesigns, video content creation, brand refreshes, and reporting. It was in this function I acquired the fastest professional growth. Learning how to craft design concepts around improvement and studying user data led to my move to Dura Software.
As a Multimedia Designer for Dura's in-house Marketing team, I managed websites, digital content, video content, print collateral, exhibition materials, and more for 13 Dura portfolio companies simultaneously. This position refined my design efficiency, conceptual accuracy, and vision communication. Those three traits propelled me to tackle 4 website redesigns, several product marketing videos, and various rapid-fire trade show schedules.
